BIO's

Jeffrey Alderdice has over 21 years of experience in emergency services, disaster preparedness and response, and nation building.​

​

Mr. Alderdice’s emergency services experience includes serving as a firefighter and paramedic, American Red Cross first responder, National Park Service Advanced Life Support provider, wilderness search and rescue team leader, captain of a federal Emergency Medical Response Team and Decontamination Team, and member of a federal National Emergency Medical Response Team.

As a disaster responder, Mr. Alderdice has deployed to Florida after Hurricane Andrew and numerous places in the American southeast after severe tornados. He works extensively in disaster preparedness and education, serving as a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) instructor, Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Decontaminations Operations instructor, CPR/AED and first aid instructor, member of the Emergency Preparedness Committee and Hospital Incident Command Staff of a large federal medical center, and as an Emergency Medical Technician instructor in Haiti. He is also certified as a federal Homeland Security Exercise Evaluation Program (HSEEP) evaluator and regularly assists agencies and jurisdictions throughout America and Haiti by serving as an exercise planner, evaluator, and controller.

In addition to assisting in developing the emerging Emergency Medical Services capabilities in Haiti, Mr. Alderdice has extensive nation building experience in the Middle East. While serving in the United States Marine Corps (USMC) he assisted in the initial operational implementation of the newly formed Iraqi Police force in 2003. In 2006, he served as the Assistant Team Leader and Senior Infantry Advisor on a Military Transition Team imbedded with a platoon from the 7th Iraqi Army Division in Al Anbar Province. He served in a combined platoon with Iraqi Police Officers in 2007-2008, leading joint American/Iraqi security and stabilization operations in Al Anbar Province.

Mr. Alderdice has a Bachelor’s degree in Homeland Security, specializing in Emergency Management and Disaster Preparedness. He is currently working on a Master of Science degree in Disaster Medicine and Management and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Emergency Management. He is certified as an American Heart Association instructor and holds two certifications as a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) instructor.
